Late artist Art Hansen drew his inspiration from the ponds, forests, and farmland of rural Vashon Island in Puget Sound, Western Washington, his home for over fifty years. In 1952, when he was in his early twenties, Art Hansen had a solo exhibition of his work at Seattle Art Museum. Hansen’s work is included in many collections including Boeing, Microsoft, Seattle Art Museum, and the Library of Congress.
